Soarin' Eagle Jog-a-thon Fundraiser: Week 2!
This is the PTO's big fundraiser for the year so we need everyone to participate to reach our $30,000 goal. As of 8:30 a.m. this morning we have already raised $17,796 and the whole school will get PJ Day, Hat Day and Extra Recess! Mrs. Faniel and Mrs. Snider's class raised over $1000, so they will each get $100 to spend on their class!
WEEK 2: Jan 27th-Feb 2nd Top student in each class will select a song to be played during Jog-a-Thon!
Only 338 of our 700 students have signed up to participate. Even if you are donating by check, cash or not donating at all, please register on PledgeStar. It is free and helps us plan the jog-a-thon event. If you register before February 2nd, you will entered to win a $25 Gift Card: https://pledgestar.com/indialantic/. Your teacher is eligible to win a prize basket if 90% of their class registers by this day.
More info about the fundraiser is in the Parent Handout.
Campus Clean Up
Please bring the family and come help Dads Club get the Indialantic campus looking its best this Saturday from 1-3 p.m. This event is not just for Dads. Please meet at the front of the school in the parking lot and bring any gardening equipment you may have (gloves, shovels etc.)
If you're interested in joining Dads Club, email iedadsclub@gmail.com.
Our School In the News!
We got attention from Florida Today for The Indialantic Elementary Mural Project Reveal Open House.
There was an article with a slideshow with pictures of the event and a short video.
Thanks again to Colleen Tobia and the artists that made our school beautiful: Christopher Maslow, Noah Cook, Jenn Gallo, Sarah Peck, Kole Trent, Jesse Travis, Bulk Styles, Nikki Nicole, Ian Soden, Marianne Goettig, and Mychael Ballard.
Winter Reading Challenge Celebration
On Thursday, the classes that read the most in each grade level during Winter Break had the chance to enjoy ice cream from Marie’s Sweet Treats Ice Cream Truck.
Treasurer's Report
PTO provided funds to help artists cover the cost of the new murals.
We continue to work on projects to beautify the school and support teachers who ask for help. If you're a teacher, and you need money for a special project, please fill out a Superfund Request to be considered for financial support from the PTO:
Make sure to load your student's account with money if you wish to buy school lunch. Find out about adding money to MyPaymentsPlus.com at https://www.brevardschools.org/Page/3478. Applications for free and reduced-priced meals can be found here: https://www.brevardschools.org/Page/3473.
