Indialantic Neighbors Magazine is accepting submissions from parents, fans and coaches for all types and levels of sports to spotlight LOCAL athletes, teams and coaches in their monthly publication. If selected, the submission will appear on their sports website: BVMSports.com which will instantly generate buzz and have a positive impact on school and/or civic sports programs. It can also connect sports communities across the country. And it could help scouts and recruiters follow star athletes in your neighborhood! Please contact Nancy Cole. Vote on Millage
Early voting has started and mail in ballots are on their way to homes now. Please participate in the General Election by November 8th.
There is a Millage on the ballot that, if approved, will increase teacher compensation, and pay for student programs and new technology in Brevard Schools.
The Millage will cost property owners $1 for every $1000 of assessed property value, minus the $25,000 homestead exemption for the next 4 years. (If your property is assessed at $300,000, then your property tax will increase $275 per year for the next 4 years.)

3. Choose a school and connect with the School Mentor Coordinator (SMC) for next steps:
SMC sets 1st meeting with mentor only. Give brief campus tour, review mentor policies, and choose time & location for meetings.
2nd meeting- SMC is there to introduce the mentee to their mentor and then leave them at the pre- determined meeting location
