Jog-a-thon Kick Off
Please mark the date of Thursday, January 19th from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. for our kick-off night at the school. We realize the time of the event may be difficult to attend, but the event must be during daylight hours. There will be fun activites for students and parents to participate in. More details to follow after break.
PTO is gearing up our annual Jog-A-Thon, which will take place on Friday, February 10th, 2023. This is our primary fundraiser for the year. This is our first year doing it completely in house. There will be MANY fun, non material, incentives for students to collect donations to our annual jog-a-thon. This year we will be keeping 100% of cash/check and 97% of online donations.
Youth Truth
Students in grades 3-6 will once again be participating in Brevard’s Youth Truth Survey. The window is from January 3-January 27, 2023. Parents have the choice to opt their child(ren) out of participating in this survey. If you choose to do so, please notify your child’s teacher.

FAST Testing
The Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST) is a progress monitoring tool that will be administered three times per year to track your student’s progress in learning the Benchmarks of Excellent Student Thinking (B.E.S.T.) Standards throughout this school year. Please make sure to come to school on time and eat a good breakfast on testing days.
Students who receive accommodations beyond what can be provided in the classroom may have a different testing date due to scheduling.

Treasurer's Report
PTO provided funds for the teacher's holiday party at Kiwi Club and will be providing the entire school staff with a holiday lunch from Cuban Island on 12/19.
We continue to work on projects to beautify the school and support teachers who ask for help. If you're a teacher, and you need money for a special project, please fill out a Superfund Request to be considered for financial support from the PTO:
Make sure to load your student's account with money if you wish to buy school lunch. Find out about adding money to MyPaymentsPlus.com at https://www.brevardschools.org/Page/3478. Applications for free and reduced-priced meals can be found here: https://www.brevardschools.org/Page/3473.
If you have any news or announcements that will benefit the parents, teachers or students of Indialantic Elementary, please send your article to indialanticespto@gmail.com for consideration.
