Testing
It is time for the FAST Second Progress Monitoring (PM2) Assessments for 3rd-6th Grade. Make sure your student gets 9-11 hours of sleep and eats a good breakfast on testing days.

If your student leaves campus before completing a test (e.g., for lunch, an appointment), he or she will not be allowed to return to that test. If your student does not feel well on the day of testing, it may be best for him or her to wait and be tested on a make-up day. Please remember not to schedule appointments on testing days.
Jog-a-thon Kick Off Community Night
Save the date for Kick-off Night for Jog-a-thon: January 30th from 4:00-6:00. Our school will be open to the community! There will be fun activities for everyone. We are inviting the mayor, fire department, and police department from Indialantic. The Safety Patrol will offer tours for incoming Kindergarteners. Long Doggers will give out coupons. The music teacher is organizing the chorus. The art teacher is organizing mosaics. There will also be a chance to win raffle baskets.
6th Grader, Billy Bouley, won the 2024 Jog-a-thon Logo contest.
Winter Class Shirt Sale
If you missed the chance to buy a class shirt in the fall, or you want a new winter style, sales will be open from January 14th-26th.
Shout Out to Coach Reed and Parent Volunteers
Field days were a lot of fun. Special thank you to our parents who came out, ran stations, and made it happen. These events can happen because of you. The kids had a blast. Thank you!
Big Thanks to Reed Tompkins "Coach Reed" for bringing his Ninja Warrior course out for the K-3 kids to enjoy. He has supported our field day for years, free of charge. A lot of the kids know him through his Lil' Sports, Ninja warrior courses (and still do), or have booked him for birthday parties. He gets them moving, addresses locomotor skills, and gets the message across for our early learners, that it is fun to play sports and be fit. https://www.lilsportsandfitness.com/
Sign Up for Parent Lunch
We are excited to be offering this two days a week for the remainder of the school year. Parents may select a day, Tuesday or Friday, to come and have lunch with their child. Be sure to arrive a few minutes prior to your child's lunch time. Parents must have their ID (Driver's License or other approved forms of ID and will sign in through the office. Students will need to return to class at the regularly scheduled time. We request parents do not check out their child on Fridays at the end of the lunch period. Due to limited space, it is important parents sign up if they would like to come and have lunch with their child.
Parental involvement is so important to the success of Indialantic Elementary!

We continue to work on projects to beautify the school and support teachers who ask for help. If you're a teacher, and you need money for a special project, please fill out a Superfund Request to be considered for financial support from the PTO:
