Field Day Volunteer Opportunity

There is a fun volunteer opportunity for you if you are a fingerprinted and school board approved parent volunteer.  We will be hosting field days here at Indialantic Elementary and we would love for you to join the fun! VOLUNTEERS MUST BE FINGER PRINTED-DISTRICT APPROVED.

12/20      8:05-9:55 Kindergarten and First Grade

10:00-11:50 Second and Third Grade

12/21    8:05-9:55 Fourth and Fifth Grade

10:00-11:50 Sixth Grade

Volunteers and CAMP teachers will host 10 to 12 stations and classes will rotate through with their classroom teachers every 10 minutes.  Stations feature games that are minimally competitive fun with friends.  Yeah, you can work out, but you can play out too!  We are asking you to run a station and stay with the same station so it runs smoothly.  Field day itself will be a little under 2 hours this year, but we are asking you to arrive 20-25 minutes early  (7:40 for early sessions, 9:35 for later sessions) making this opportunity a little over 2 hours.

Please RSVP to Armstrong.Kerry@brevardschools.org   "FIELD DAY VOLUNTEER" in the subject line.  I will need to know:

      1. Your First and Last name

      2. Your student, or students name

      3. Your student's classroom/homeroom teacher

      4. Confirm the day and time slot or slots you are interested in.

      5. Let me know if you have any restrictions, ie lifting, sun restrictions, etc. and I will do my best to accommodate.

You will need to bring your ID to be scanned on the way in.  If you are a registered volunteer a yellow sticker will be printed for you.  If you are not registered we will not be able to allow you come back and help.

We appreciate our Indialantic  Volunteers, you make these special events possible!

1st Annual Holiday Sing-Along

Indialantic Elementary will be hosting the 1st Holiday Sing-Along on December 22nd at 8:30 am.  This 30-min festive event will include traditional holiday favorites sung by all students and the Indialantic Chorus leading the songs.  Students will be sitting under the pavilion, and this will be a sing-along for all who attend.  We are inviting parents to attend this event!  Parents need to complete the process below to ensure a smooth morning and reduce the wait time for parents who want to attend.  Parents who attend will be standing along the edge of the pavilion.  In the event of severe weather, there will be three sessions in the cafeteria (times are approximate)- 8:20 for K and 5th; 9:00 for 1st and 4th and 9:45 for 2nd, 3rd  & 6th grade.

If you want to join us for the Holiday Sing Along, please complete the following:

This holiday event is not a performance by a specific grade level, but a true sing-along so students may be difficult to spot and parents will be standing/sitting along the edges.  We welcome your participation at what will become an annual event!

Fifth grade is continuing to collect gift cards for the children of Haven House.  If you choose to participate, please purchase a Visa/Mastercard, Target, or Walmart gift card for any amount. Send gift cards in to Attn:  Mrs.  Schneider.

Hoover is collecting for students in need, $25-$50 gift cards preferably to local businesses or restaurants in the area till December 12.  There is a Christmas tree located in the front office. Please stop by and grab a tag to remind you to bring a gift card from a local restaurant. Sign Up for Parent Lunch

We are excited to be offering this two days a week for the remainder of the school year.  Parents may select a day, Tuesday or Friday, to come and have lunch with their child.  Be sure to arrive a few minutes prior to your child's lunch time.  Parents must have their ID (Driver's License or other approved forms of ID and will sign in through the office.  Students will need to return to class at the regularly scheduled time.  We request parents do not check out their child on Fridays at the end of the lunch period.  Due to limited space, it is important parents sign up if they would like to come and have lunch with their child.

Parental involvement is so important to the success of Indialantic Elementary!
