Soarin' Eagles Jog-a-thon: Week 2

The Soarin' Eagle Jog-a-thon is underway now! This is the PTO's only fundraiser for the year. All proceeds will go to help beautify and enhance our school and support our teachers and staff.  Detailed information is in the parent handout. We are already over half way to our goal! EVERY student needs to register online and invite your friends and family to donate. Many corporations, like Harris, will match your donation.


If your student is the top fundraiser from your class this week, they will get to select a song to be played during Jog-a-thon (song selected off list)!


Eight classes collected over $1,000 during Week 1, so their teachers will get $100 to spend in their classroom! Congratulations to Bailey, Busing, Shepard, Worthington, Lunsford, Niemi, Moody, and Scrivener classes.


The class that raises the most money from each grade by February 23rd will earn a field trip lunch to Long Doggers! Here are the classes in the lead at the end of Week 1:

K - Moody

1st - Shepard

2nd - Lunsford

3rd - Bailey

4th - Niemi

5th - Bulluck

6th - Iverson


There is a SignUpGenius for volunteers to help on February 23rd. There will be a different sign up for spectators who do not wish to volunteer closer to the event for you to watch your student run/walk for 30 minutes during school. All the prizes earned will be celebrated 2/26-3/1. At the PTO Meeting on March 19th, much of the funding will be decided.

Texas Roadhouse Dine to Donate

Please join us for this Thursday, February 15th, between 3:00-9:00 p.m., and Texas Roadhouse will donate 10% of your purchase to our school. You get to make it a family night, no cooking, no dishes, just enjoy the night together. PTO gets money to enrich the school! 


Dine in or order take out on our designated date, mention "Indialantic Elementary," and 10% of your bill will be donated to our PTO!  Please request a paper receipt and put it in the box in the lobby to make sure we get credit. Write your teacher's name on the receipt and the teacher and class with the most students can win a prize.

Indialanticespto@gmail.com sends out periodic emails as volunteer opportunities come up. Email them if you would like to be added to the distribution list. This week they sent out a new volunteer opportunity on 2/20 and previous opportunities still available:

3.  Please read the updated request for math volunteers. We were able to get clarification and by volunteering you will allow the teacher to have more direct math teaching time.

Long Doggers Spirit Day Update

The Indialantic Long Doggers is doing a dine to donate event monthly with Indialantic Elementary!  In February Long Doggers donated $130 to the PTO! Save the date for the next and LAST Long Doggers Saturday March 2nd


There is a competition to see which grade has the most participation -  so make sure to tell the server which grade(s) your family is representing! After the seven Saturday events, the numbers will be tallied and the grade with the most participation will win a surprise from PTO and Long Doggers!   As of February, Third grade is in the lead!  Total participation is close: Kindgarten-21, 1st-18, 2nd-19, 3rd-31, 4th-9, 5th-16, and 6th-12.

Sign Up for Parent Lunch

We are excited to be offering this two days a week for the remainder of the school year.  Parents may select a day, Tuesday or Friday, to come and have lunch with their child.  Be sure to arrive a few minutes prior to your child's lunch time.  Parents must have their ID (Driver's License or other approved forms of ID and will sign in through the office.  Students will need to return to class at the regularly scheduled time.  We request parents do not check out their child on Fridays at the end of the lunch period.  Due to limited space, it is important parents sign up if they would like to come and have lunch with their child.  


Parental involvement is so important to the success of Indialantic Elementary!

We continue to work on projects to beautify the school and support teachers who ask for help.  If you're a teacher, and you need money for a special project, please fill out a Superfund Request to be considered for financial support from the PTO:
