This Thursday, May 16th from 5:30-7:30, students, teachers, friends, and families are all welcome to join us at Galaxy Skateway at 1488 Aurora Rd, Melbourne, FL 32935. $5 includes skating and rental. Galaxy Skateway donates $1 per admission to the PTO. The snack bar will be open for purchase.
Which beachside school can read the most between 5/13/2024-8/11/2024? (We think it will be Indialantic!)
Beginning May 13th students will be automatically enrolled in the challenge, and they will go to Launchpad to login to the Beanstack Ap. If you cannot login to Beanstack, students may log their reading on the paper log.
Students will be challenged to read 20 minutes a day at least 4 days a week. Record reading minutes and titles read in Beanstack. Students will earn digital badges for time spent reading:
○ 1st digital badge will be earned at 20 minutes
○ 2nd digital badge will be earned at 40 minutes
○ Following digital badges will be earned for each hour of reading
○ Students must earn 15 badges to complete the challenge in Beanstack.

The final PTO Meeting of this school year will be this Thursday at 3:00 p.m. in the media center. Bring your ID to check in at the front office, and you are welcome to join in. You do not need to be a registered volunteer to attend the meetings. Your ideas are welcome. Kids are welcome to join, but please bring a quiet activity for them.
With a student attending Indialantic Elementary, you are automatically a part of the Indialantic Parent Teacher Organization. Please come and help plan events, fundraisers, and other service projects for our school. Meetings are usually the 2nd Thursday of the month during the school year (with some exceptions). In 2024-2025 we will alternate the PTO Meeting times to try to include different people:
9/5, 11/14, 1/9, 3/4, 5/8 at 3pm in the Media Center
10/10, 12/12, 2/13, 4/10 at 8am in Cafeteria
Hoover PTO is welcoming upcoming 7th grade parents to join the meeting this Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. They will have time for questions and answers for you.

You can still buy a yearbook for $40 cash or check (made out to Indialantic Elementary PTO), you can send in an envelope with your child to get one from the front office. Parents can also get one in the front office during non drop off and pick up hours.
Indialantic Elementary will be starting a STEM Program, with Mrs. Talaia as the STEM teacher. We had a kick off event, Space Day, with our Fourth and Fifth Grade Students. We are building a STEM Lab for all classes to use during the school year. If you have any items listed below, we would welcome your gently used donations:

We are excited to be offering this two days a week for the remainder of the school year. Parents may select a day, Tuesday or Friday, to come and have lunch with their child. Be sure to arrive a few minutes prior to your child's lunch time. Parents must have their ID (Driver's License or other approved forms of ID and will sign in through the office. Students will need to return to class at the regularly scheduled time. We request parents do not check out their child on Fridays at the end of the lunch period. Due to limited space, it is important parents sign up if they would like to come and have lunch with their child.
Parental involvement is so important to the success of Indialantic Elementary!
At our annual Jog-a-thon fundraiser we made more than enough to continue to fund our yearly budget, so at the March PTO meeting we voted to do more school beautification projects with vinyl covers for school windows, music playground landscaping, new curtains on the stage, and another mural on the street side of the media center. There are always more projects to work on, so we would be thrilled if you decide to donate any time.
