These t-shirts are specific by grade and are incredibly helpful during all school events and field trips. Every Friday students will be encouraged to wear their Indialantic t-shirts for spirit days.

Indialantic families are invited our 2023 Open House on August 22nd (Kindergarten through Second Grade) and August 23rd (Third through Sixth Grade). There are two informational sessions each night. Teachers will review information on the curriculum, class procedures, and how parents can support their child in the specific grade level. Our designated parking is limited, so arrive early in case you need to use

adjacent parking at Hoover Middle School.

Please plan to attend one session with your child's homeroom teacher:

Tuesday, 8/22 for K- 2nd Sessions at 5:00-5:40 or 5:50-6:30

Wednesday, 8/23 for 3rd-6th Sessions at 5:00-5:40 or 5:50-6:30

From your donations, PTO will provide teachers with sandwiches, fruit, drinks and snacks prior to the open house.

Does your child prefer to go by a nickname other than their legal name (example Tim is used rather than Timothy, the legal name)? In accordance with Florida Statute, Brevard Public Schools has a form that gives permission to the teacher to use the preferred name. Even if your child has a nickname in Focus, this must be verified by a form completed by the parent. Forms will be available at Open House or in the Front Office or download and print here.

The School Advisory Council is made up of parents, teachers, staff and community members, and the school principal. The SAC meets once a month on Friday afternoons at 1:45 pm. The first meeting of the school year is August 25th at 1:45. All interested parents are invited to attend.

The purpose of the SAC is to provide guidance for the school for areas of improvement. There is no special training or expertise to be part of the SAC. If you are interested in being a parent representative on SAC, please complete the form at the front office or send an email to lord.colleen@brevardschools.org with School Advisory Council in the subject line. All submissions must be completed by August 28th .

The school nurse sent a message saying the clinic is in need of clothing donations - especially girls size S shorts/pants, boys and girls shoes - smaller sizes, and med/large socks.
