Long Doggers Spirit Saturdays!

The Indialantic Long Doggers is doing a dine to donate event monthly with Indialantic Elementary!  They will donate 20% of any order to Indialantic Elementary PTO on the first Saturday of each month: Sept 2nd, Oct. 7th, Nov 4th, Dec 2nd, Jan 6th, Feb 3rd, March 2nd.

There will be a competition to see which grade has the most participation -  so make sure to tell the server which grade(s) your family is representing!  After the seven Saturday events, the numbers will be tallied and the grade with the most participation will win a surprise from PTO and Long Doggers!

Just say you are from Indialantic Elementary and the grade of each student in your family all day (10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.) in person or the drive thru to raise money for our school!

Volunteer in the Art Class

Mrs. Reynolds can use your help any day from 8:-11:30 or 12:00-2:00.

You must be an approved volunteer to come into the classroom.

Email Mrs. Reynolds at reynolds.laura@brevardschools.org if you are interested.

Register to Volunteer

All volunteers must be fingerprinted and cleared through the district office prior to being allowed to volunteer for activities during school hours. Register to volunteer by following the directions on this webpage: https://fl02201431.schoolwires.net/Page/11104.  The fees for registering to volunteer are currently waived.  It  can take several weeks to process your application, so this is the perfect time to register so you can participate in upcoming events this school year.

Once you become a registered volunteer, you will have to pay $8.00 per year to maintain your status. You will get an email from donotreply@raptortech.com 60 days before your volunteer status expires.  Failure to renew your volunteer status will require you to redo the initial volunteer process; which will include the cost of fingerprinting. Please use the full name that is on your Drivers license when renewing your status:  https://www.e-billexpress.com/ebpp/BPSPayment/.

FAST Testing

Make sure your student gets 9-11 hours of sleep and eats a good breakfast on testing days.

If your student leaves campus before completing a test (e.g., for lunch, an appointment), he or she will not be allowed to return to that test. If your student does not feel well on the day of testing, it may be best for him or her to wait and be tested on a make-up day. Please remember not to schedule appointments on testing days.

The Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST) is a progress monitoring (PM) system that is administered three times per year to track your student's progress in learning the Benchmarks of Excellent Student Thinking (B.E.S.T.) Standards throughout this school year.

Kindergarten-2 Grades will take the Renaissance Star Reading, and Star Math assessments. Each test is less than 30 minutes. Sample test items at home at https://flfast.org/resources/renaissance-star/renaissance-star.

Assessments are computer-adaptive tests taken on a computer or tablet.  For more information on the test design, please visit https://www.fldoe.org/accountability/assessments/k-12-student-assessment/best/

If you or your student would like to interact with the online testing platform or review FAST ELA Reading and Mathematics sample items at home, sample test materials are available at https://flfast.org/families.html.

Students with accommodations may be tested on an alternate date due to scheduling.
