At Brevard Public Schools, we use the FOCUS grade reporting system. You can monitor your student's progress: get real time grade updates, view test scores, see report cards, and in the spring you will register for next year. Interim Progress Reports will be published this Monday. Log in at https://brevardk12.focusschoolsoftware.com/focus/?skipSAML=true. Please fill out the Impact Aid Survey to help our school's funding when you are prompted.
You should have received instructions from your teacher on how to set up an account. If you have never logged in before, you set up access by going to https://BrevardK12.focusschoolsoftware.com/focus/auth. To create a new account you need your child's student number, birthdate, and PIN number. If you lost your pin, you can get another one by visiting the front office.
We are excited to be offering this two days a week for the remainder of the school year. Parents may select a day, Tuesday or Friday, to come and have lunch with their child. Be sure to arrive a few minutes prior to your child's lunch time. Parents must have their ID (Driver's License or other approved forms of ID and will sign in through the office. Students will need to return to class at the regularly scheduled time. We request parents do not check out their child on Fridays at the end of the lunch period. Due to limited space, it is important parents sign up if they would like to come and have lunch with their child.
Parental involvement is so important to the success of Indialantic Elementary!
You should have received a permission slip in your child's take home folder, but if you misplaced it, you can print and sign a permission slip here. Make sure to write your student's name and grade on their permission slip.
Running Club is planning to start on September 19th. It will be open to all students. It will meet every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday except when it is too cold or raining.
When the campus gate opens at 7:30 a.m., start the day on a positive note by heading to the southwest recess fields to get moving and see your friends for 15 minutes before school. You must bring a water bottle to participate.
Come on the days that work for you. Students with permission slips will have their cards printed out on carts when they arrive. The cards will keep track of your miles for the school year.
Run Club could use several registered volunteers everyday from 7:25-7:55 a.m. each day. If you are an approved volunteer, contact Kim Self at kimberlypas@yahoo.com with questions about volunteering for Running Club.
School clubs require a teacher to facilitate and parent volunteers. PTO has a list of Clubs.

This year’s School Improvement Plan has five focus areas:
Early Literacy- Indialantic Elementary School (IES) is using UFLI, a research-based method of instruction to support phonics and phonemic awareness in Kindergarten through sixth grade.
English Language Arts (ELA)- IES is focusing on vocabulary development in Kindergarten through sixth grade.
Positive School Climate- IES will be providing interactive nights on Literacy; STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math); and the FAST assessment. Additional opportunities will be provided for parents and the community to actively participate in your child’s education.
Math- IES is focused on providing effective instruction for all students on the grade level standards. Small group instruction is also important to meet the individual needs of the students.
Instructional Practice- In all content areas, teachers will be providing opportunities for students to work together, in cooperative learning, while still having individual accountability.
Please submit your vote September 22, 2023. Click here for the link for the confirmation vote.
