Change for a Cause Hurricane Ian Fundraiser

Bring your spare change in to help support impacted students, teachers, and school staff in the five school districts most devastated by Hurricane Ian (Charlotte, Desoto, Hardee, Lee, and Sarasota) through October 27th.


Each grade level will have a 5-gallon jug to place their donated change into. The grade level with most donations will receive a surprise celebration.

West Shore Jr./Sr. High School Information

West Shore Jr. /Sr. High School will be hosting parent and student informational meetings about the school, curriculum, and application/enrollment procedures on Tuesday, October 25 and Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. in the gymnasium at 250 Wildcat Alley in Melbourne near the Melbourne Courthouse. Interested parents and students are welcome and encouraged to attend one of these meetings. 

Sixth graders interested in attending West Shore for the 2023-2024 school year, must fill out an application online at https://www.brevardschools.org/Page/2381 and pay a $30.00 non-refundable fee. For more information, please feel free to contact the West Shore school office at 321-242-4730.

October 25 and 26, 2022 – Parent Informational Meetings in the West Shore Gymnasium at 6:30 p.m.

November 1, 2022 – Application window opens

December 2, 2022 – Application window closes at 11:59 p.m. – NO EXCEPTIONS

December 12, 2022 – Lottery draw takes place 

December 12-16, 2022 – Seat Offering or Waitlist Status Notification via Family Dashboard

January 27, 2023 – Deadline to Accept or Decline offered seat via Family Dashboard 

New Sensory Pathway!

Thank you again to Marianne Goettig for beautifying and revitalizing the sensory pathway! We really appreciate the amount of physical labor you put in. It looks amazing, and eveyone will enjoy if for years to come. 

9 Week Ice Cream Celebration

The PTO paid for ice cream to hand out to every child to celebrate the end of the first 9 weeks of school. This is something the PTO plans to do every 9 weeks to celebrate all the kids' progress this school year. The kids loved it!

Volunteer Opportunity

Nov. 7 and 8 the Dept of Health will be on campus to do Vision and Hearing screenings for select grade levels.  Approved school volunteers are needed to help with the screenings.   Nov. 7th will be kindergarten and 6th grade and Nov. 8th will be 1st and 3rd grade.   Thank you for your interest.

Lost and Found

Please tell your student to bring home their items from lost and found in the cafeteria. If you don't pick up your items by December 7th, we will bring them to Book Fair Family Night.

PTO Meeting

If you would like to help with anything or if you see a project you would like to work on, please contact us and come to the next meeting on November 10th at 3:00 p.m. in the Media Center.  We welcome your ideas.
